St Andrew’s this week was able to field a complete rugby team with two extras and two sides-girls and we still had room for more so ‘Do not be afraid’ to come along and join us next Sunday at the same time of 10.00am.
Our service started with the famous hymn ‘Light’s abode, celestial Salem’ in our first effort at streaming our live service on YouTube which was followed by our usual three readings, this week starting with Jonah and his problems over the fate of the city of Nineveh which was followed by the labourers dispute over their wages and finally St Paul commending the Phillipians to follow the gospel of Christ. In the midst of our pandemic all these readings in their different ways help us to live through difficult times. The hymn ‘From heaven you came ‘ was sung quietly during the communion of the people and with a final resounding and thrilling rendition by our soloist of ‘Father hear the prayer we offer’, the service concluded on a happy note.
