13th April – Andrea’s Letter: Palm Sunday

19th April 2025

Palm Sunday  2025  St Andrew’s Milngavie

Today we celebrated Palm Sunday, the day we remember Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem.

The day also marks the beginning of Holy Week.

Accompanied by Alison, we sang the traditional Passion hymns within the context of the story of The Passion from St Luke’s gospel.

After the service we celebrated and congratulated Fraser who marked his ninetieth birthday this week. He was presented, with much love and affection, a beautiful card made by Helen depicting “all things Fraser”, a ginger birthday cake to be enjoyed over coffee and a token from the congregation. The presentation ended with the traditional singing of Happy Birthday.  Fraser has asked me to thank you all for your kindness and generosity.
