5th April – Easter Day

6th April 2026

St Andrew’s Milngavie—Sunday 5th April 2026

After our Holy Week services on Maundy Thursday and The Final Hour music and reflections on Good Friday, it was a joy to celebrate Christ’s resurrection on Sunday in the church filled with spring flowers and the Easter Garden.

Robin spoke about Christ being mistaken for the gardener by Mary when she discovered the empty tomb and how our everyday encounters with people  may be opportunities to be a seed in bringing them to encounter Christ.

These notices and a summary of sermons can also be found on St Andrew’s Website, usually by the Tuesday of any week   https://standrewsmilngavie.church.scot

If you had trouble logging on recently you were not alone, the whole Diocesan system of which we are a part suffered from a catastrophic failure of a piece of equipment belonging to the IT sub-contractors. It is now fixed.

Copies of the April/May Newsletter will be available in church next Sunday, and will also be on the website.

Sadly two long time members of St Andrew’s have died recently.

Fraser Gold and Alan Williams

May they rest in peace and rise in glory

Both their funerals will take place in the week ending 17th April.

Detailed arrangements for both will be circulated to those who regularly receive congregational emails.
