In his sermon Robin recognised links between the readings and this year’s Christian Aid Week focus on its “Beacon of Hope” work in Kenya. The promise of the Holy Spirit in its many facets was summarised by referring to the first verses of the hymn “Be still thy soul, the Lord is on your side.”

Church Walk Saturday May 16th Old Kilpatrick Saltings to Bowling Harbour
We suggest that we go by train leaving Milngavie at 1.06 and Bearsden 1.11, changing at Westerton and returning from Bowling. There is a small car park off Erskine Ferry Road G60 5EU, which we will pass soon after 1.50pm. The walk is easy, downhill or level circa 3 or 4 miles if returning to Old Kilpatrick. There is a cafe with toilets at Bowling and at Old Kilpatrick. For more information, please speak with Tim or Jane.
