Readings: Exodus 19: 2-8 Romans 5: 1-8 Matthew 9: 35- 10: 8
In his sermon Robin highlighted the common themes from all three readings. He spoke about the Exodus Covenant story and what that might mean for us in our faith and commitment today and how coming together for Holy Communion is a time when we can especially experience God’s presence. In times of difficulty, Paul’s encouragement to the Romans demonstrates the power of spiritual resources to endure and transform suffering. Robin also spoke about the compassion that Jesus had for the lost and that having compassion is important in stimulating loving and caring actions.
