Readings: 1 Kings 19.9–18 Romans 10: 5-15 Matthew 14: 22-33
In his sermon Robin highlighted that in all three readings, God’s still small voice was heard in the silence. He suggested that this indicated that building in contemplative prayer into our pattern of regular prayers would be good practice. Further, this could develop relationship with the person of Jesus and Paul’s call [in the Romans passage] to share our faith could be enhanced by having the confidence to tell others what such faith meant in our lives.
