14th October AGM

6th November 2018

Coffee, tea, cake and biscuits set us up for our AGM after our morning service. In the Rector’s report Andrea reported on the life of St Andrew’s over the past year, which has been full with many events and activities both social and spiritual, including participation in a number of Milngavie churches’ ecumenical events.

Over the summer a number of MAP (Mission Action Plan) meetings were held when we discussed new possibilities for worship and mission. As part of this, the monthly Dorcas craft group & Milngavie Refugee Action Group (now renamed East Dunbartonshire Action for Refugees) have been particularly successful in providing ongoing outreach in our community and beyond.

Andrea also explained how in the New Year we will be exploring the healing ministry with a view to including special prayers for healing in our services.

Group representatives gave reports of the many & varied aspects of church life & we welcomed 2 new Vestry members. Gordon gave the treasurers report and explained the plan for a team approach to this role for this coming year.

Andrea thanked everyone for all they do in the life of our church and in the community.
