It was a real treat to welcome Sara Melville, a contemporary Mosaicist to our February Dorcas. Ten of us enjoyed designing our own square of fibreboard to create a useful pot stand or a picture to hang on the wall. It was a really lovely way to spend a wet and windy, wintry day and learn a bit about the craft of mosaics. Sara is embarking on her new career of landscape gardening and mosaics and has just acquired the keys to her own studio so we will be following her progress on instagram with great interest.
