13th September – Variety is the Spice of Worship!

15th September 2020

We are glad that the congregation can share at least part of Sunday worship in different ways at the moment; you might feel comfortable coming along in person at 10am, or prefer to read Andrea’s sermon in her email letter and on St. Andrew’s website. Hopefully, with some technical fine-tuning, this Sunday’s service will be available on YouTube as well if everyone is happy with that. Many thanks to Andrea for organising it.

Last Sunday’s scripture readings centred around the themes of forgiveness and judgment, and in the Gospels we were reminded of Jesus’ emphasis on forgiveness being central to our spiritual and emotional wellbeing, something at the forefront of many of our minds just now.

We’re missing our regular social gatherings, not least over coffee in the hall each week, but are still managing to space out and chat on the pavement at the front of the church while rather nimbly accommodating passers-by.
Don’t forget that the Thursday service is now taking place in church as well, with prayers at 10am on Tuesdays in the garden.

We are preparing for our AGM on 18th October, possibly via Zoom, and the relevant people have been asked for reports of activities during the past year, to be circulated in advance. There will be a Zoom Vestry meeting on 5th October to finalise arrangements.
