12th April – Easter 2: ‘Peace be with you’

12th April 2026

Peace be with you was the theme of the service on the Second Sunday of Easter.

Readings:        Acts 2: 14, 22-32                     1 Peter 1: 3-9             John 20: 19-31

Robin noted how may times Jesus used this as his greeting to his disciples in the Gospel reading and contrasted this with the world situation at the moment.

He also noted how much the faith of the early church was expressed and enhanced by singing and drew attention to the title of the latest hymn book “Singing the Faith” of the Methodist Church of Great Britain which celebrates 250 years this year.
